CHUO Engineering and Collier Aerospace sign Distributor Agreement for HyperX Software

April 14, 2025

CHUO Engineering has reached a distributorship agreement with Collier Aerospace (Virginia, USA), the developers of “HyperX” structural sizing and analysis software, and began distributing HyperX on January 1, 2025.

Overview of HyperX Software

HyperX is software developed by Collier Aerospace that allows structural stress engineers to quickly assess the strength and stability of aerospace parts, and optimize their size to the load path in the FEM. This includes (but is not limited to) weight optimization of component thickness and dimensions (width and height), composite lay-up and fiber orientation, and stiffener dimensions and spacing. HyperX can also facilitate and design trade studies for both weight and manufacturability simultaneously. HyperX software can significantly reduce the time and cost of the conventional design process by automating calculations stress teams must complete regardless. HyperX is compatible with a variety of FEA and CAD products, and can read FEM models and output CAD data. For more information about the software, please see the Collier Aerospace website below.

About Collier Aerospace

Collier Aerospace was established in 1995 by Mr. Craig Collier and Mrs. Ivonne Collier, who were researching the use of composite materials to reduce the weight of aerospace vehicles at NASA's Langley Research Center. It is a leading company in the field of computer-aided engineering (CAE) software for the structural sizing and analysis of composite and metallic materials.
